As with all new electronic toys, I had to take this specific model for a test drive ahead of wrapping it up as a gift for a family member who is definitely sold on absolutely nothing else but point and shoot cameras. Myself owning many Nikon & Canon film/DSLR systems over the years, I have to admit that I’ve never been a huge fan of point and shoot cameras. I’m impressed with the picture top quality and the ease of use. I can expand a picture to wallpaper size on my monitor and not get pixilation. It has many settings but could be utilized very easily right out in the box. The on the internet manual (downloadable in PDF)is straightforward to understand & comprehensive. The attached instructions are pretty basic. I don’t like that it has a proprietary USB cable, though spares can be had off Ebay for less than $5. Also a person can remove the SD card & upload from it directly. It will take up to a 32 GB card according to the manual. I can get around a 100+ photos on a 1 GB card. Battery life is OK, takes 2 AA batteries. I’m not a real camera buff, I just wanted a point & shoot camera. This fits the bill perfectly for me (More…)

This really is a terrific camera. I have had a few cameras, most were point and shoot, but I had an SLR way back inside the stone age once you really had to load film in a camera. What? How do you upload pics to Facebook using a film camera? I know… I’m not a camera expert by any stretch from the imagination. My wife is, and she likes this camera. Her images are primarily close ups of food that she uses for her blog. Fantastic photos, makes me jealous. I had her put down her DSLR and try some shots with this Kodak Easyshare.
