I bought this camera particularly to get a vacation to Rio de Janeiro. I also have a Nikon DSLR that I adore, but didn’t need to risk carrying it about Rio. I wanted something I can easily put in my pocket and pull out to speedily take pics. I investigated numerous distinct point-and-shoot cameras, and they all suffer that’s pretty much normal concerns with Point and Shoots – not dealing nicely with low light, blurry when compensating for low light, lag time, and so on. These points are fairly much a fact with point and shoots. After playing using a couple of distinct camera’s, I opted for the Lumix DMC-FH20. The main causes exactly where the zoom – 8x optical, and then as much as 32X digital with the appropriate settings. (More…)

Purchased the camera for my wife, who was going to Thailand on a University trip. She came back with 500+ photos, taken in all kind of light conditions. All except two or three were in sharp focus, and the best of the lot are good enough to put on the wall. She had to recharge the battery once a week, she says. We uploaded her photos to our computers, no problem. I would recommend this for any casual photographer, including the one that is technically challenged. (More Detail…)

The Canon Rebel T3i takes the consumer level dSLR a couple methods closer towards the mid-level Canon 60D with the addition with the rotating rear LCD screen, remote flash firing, and in-camera processing attributes. The already extremely competent, older Rebel T2i already shared many important capabilities using the 60D (as well as features with the semi-pro 7D) including the 18 MP sensor, 63-zone exposure metering technique, high ISO efficiency, HD movie capabilities, and Digic 4 image processor.
